Digital identity in the fixed and mobile web has been a fiercely debated topic for years.

The long promised digital identity store/service hasn’t materialised but rapid developments recently with OpenID, OpenSocial and DataPortability mean that the issue is yet again a hot topic.

We’ll be exploring how identity is used by digital mashup services and asking whether customers identities need to be protected and whether and how they should be exploited — with or without their ‘owners’ permission?
